Astronomical perspective

An actual photo taken by Cassini Orbiter, of a planet in our solar system: Saturn. when the sun is illuminating it from behind. hello gorgeous.

If you click for larger view and put your nose to the screen you can see a tiny speck within the 2nd largest outer ring in the mid-upper left, is our planet earth.

Astronomers have the most exciting job in the world.

I'm super envious of the century that will be able to travel the galaxies & communicate with or observe other life forms (maybe within our galaxy?). I'm convinced, if we exist there's got to be other life forms tucked away somewhere amongst the trillions & trillions of planets out there. Some have very likely advanced way beyond us.... so much can happen in 13 billion years.

Sometimes I feel that humanity is progressing too slow... :|
